Alan Mumford, ASLA
Founder &
Landscape Architect
Alan Mumford graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture in 1982.
As a licensed Landscape Architect, Landscape Contractor, and Arborist, Alan has been involved with a number of exciting projects, including master planning for community developments, commercial properties, recreational facilities, large and small residential properties and streetscapes.
Marianne Mumford, BLA
President
Marianne Mumford graduated from Louisiana State University in 1983 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture.
Marianne loves in surrounding herself with clients who are invested in their gardens and colleagues who share her creativity and passion for landscape architecture. She is an active member of the Association of Landscape Contractors of America and The New Orleans Town Gardeners.
Kim Alvarez, BLA
Vice President
Kim Alvarez graduated from Louisiana State University in 1991 with a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture.
Kim has extensive knowledge of plants, specializing in southern Louisiana regional varieties. She has strong interpersonal skills and the ability to generate designs that connect with her clients’ true aesthetic.
John Bland, BLA
Design Associate
John Bland graduated from Louisiana State University in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree from the Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture.
John is a New Orleans native who draws inspiration from classic southern gardens while applying a fresh and innovative perspective.
Through the years, he has worked in a variety of roles on the Landscape Images team, ranging from maintenance and installation.
Tonya Burks
Administrative Assistant
Louisiana native Tonya joined us in late 2025. In her role, she supports the daily operations that keep the office and field crew running smoothly. She helps bridge the gap between the office/field teams and clients, ensuring the client needs and requests are met as quickly and efficiently as possible.
When she’s not at work, you can find her in the garden with her hands deep in the soil, learning about new things to create, or rewatching one of her favorite shows for the zillionth time.
Paul Martin
Field Operations Manager
Paul Martin brings more than 15 years of leadership and operations management experience to Landscape Images. Throughout his career, he has specialized in building efficient systems, developing high-performing teams, and improving organizational processes across service-based industries.
As Director of Operations, Paul oversees day-to-day business operations, workforce management, reporting, process improvement, and strategic initiatives that support both the office and field teams. His focus is on creating systems that enhance communication, accountability, and operational excellence while ensuring clients receive the highest level of service.
Outside of work, Paul enjoys spending time with his family, exploring New Orleans, and supporting community organizations that help develop future leaders.
Jon Lafever
Maintenance Supervisor
Jon joined us in February 2024. He has over 24 years of Management Experience in 8 states ranging from coast to coast and both
Northern and Southern climates.
In his free time, you can find Jon
on the barbecue, trying new local restaurants or listening to live music!
Joe Farry
Install Supervisor
Joe was born in Charleston, West Virginia. He grew up in Cleveland, Ohio until he graduated from High School and moved to Louisiana.
He has been with Landscape Images since 2005 and is licensed as a Certified Irrigation Contractor. He is a supervisor
on our Installation team and specializes in Landscape Lighting.
In his free time he enjoys cooking, grilling and sitting on the beach with his wife and two children.

Ashley Locklear
Market Coordinator & Administrative Assistant
A Florida native, Ashley Locklear moved to New Orleans in 2008 and began working with the city’s first CSA and local farms, connecting seasonal produce with top chefs at Link Restaurant Group.
With over 20 years of experience in the service industry, she has worked across all levels of the industry, back of house to the front of house, management, marketing, and beyond.
Outside of work, you can find them working in their garden.
John Bulger
Controller
John is an experienced corporate accountant who earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting, graduating summa cum laude from Southern New Hampshire University.
As controller, he is responsible for overseeing all accounting and finance matters for the company.
In his free time, you can find John exploring local cuisine, pursuing continuing education, or catching a show at the Saenger.
